MEET THE FOUNDERS
Co-Founder
TAMANNA BEGUM
Tamanna Begum is currently a rising Senior at the Young Women’s Leadership School of Astoria in New York City. She has always been interested in coding, and plans on pursuing a career in the Tech field. However, Tamanna recognizes the lack of diversity that remains in the Tech industry. As a result, she has felt underrepresented and can imagine that others must feel the same. This concern has driven her to jumpstart the Tech Inclusion Project where minority students can access free coding classes, tech opportunities, professional exposure, and guidance as they navigate their academic journey. By making these resources available to everyone, diversity and inclusion grows.

For leisure, Tamanna enjoys reading, playing table tennis, and spending time with her cat!

SASHA HORI
Sasha Hori is a rising Senior at The Young Women’s Leadership School of Astoria in New York City and is the co-founder of the Tech Inclusion Project. She took her first coding class, intro to HTML & CSS, in 7th grade and fell in love with code. Because the school Sasha attends is an all-girls school, she was able to pursue her passion in a nurturing environment. After realizing that not all students have the resources to be introduced to code, she partnered with Tamanna to create the Tech Inclusion Project. Sasha hopes the Tech Inclusion Project, will allow students to meet alike students and create life-long connections.
In the future, she hopes to study law and technology, and in her free time, she enjoys playing instruments and spending time with family and friends.
